First, he was caught on camera. Now he has been caught by police.

According to an arrest affidavit, store surveillance cameras caught 25-year-old Mitchell Villanueva robbing the Dollar General in the 2800 block of Nogalitos on May 17.

The affidavit stated he entered the store just before closing time, pretended to shop and then allegedly demanded the clerk hand him cash from the register.

Villanueva claimed he had a gun but didn't want to hurt the clerk, according to the affidavit.

On June 7, someone called SAPD Crimestoppers saying they recognized Villanueva after seeing the store surveillance video.

Villanueva was arrested and charged with aggravated robbery.
