Tire iron attack caught on camera

A Houston area man was brutally beaten on his doorstep and it was all caught on camera.

Surveillance video caught two men attacking the homeowner on Halloween night.

Edgardo Mendoza says the men knocked on his door and asked if he wanted to buy some tools.

Deputies say one of the suspects started to beat Mendoza over the head and face with a four sided tire iron. The other suspect also joined in.

Mendoza told authorities he has no idea who the men are or why his home was targeted.

Mendoza suffered multiple injuries, but has been released from the hospital.
