A woman was hospitalized after her car was rear-ended by a tow truck on 281 and Encino Rio on the North Side late Thursday night.
Police say the wrecker was towing a UPS truck and ran a light at the intersection.
The truck slammed into the victim's car and struck another vehicle, totaling both.
The victim was taken by AirLife to University Hospital. Police did not release her condition Friday morning.
Another woman was treated by paramedics at the scene while the driver of the tow truck was not injured.
Police believe the driver of the wrecker was not paying attention when the accident happened, and have not said if charges would be filed.
