Popular grocer Trader Joe's has set an opening date for its new store at the Quarry.

The California-based grocery chain will open its first San Antonio location at 8 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 19.

The store will be located at the former West Elm Furniture Store in the Quarry Village at 350 East Basse Road.

Construction for the 11,000-square-foot store is expected to start sometime this month.

Trader Joe's are also popping up in Austin, Dallas, Fort Worth and the Houston area.
