Train crashes into abandoned car

Crash happened in 300 block South Salado Street

SAN ANTONIO -

A Burlington Northern Santa Fe train hit an abandoned car Friday morning in downtown San Antonio.

Police said the train hit the car in the 300 block of South Salado Street and dragged it for about two blocks.

The train was transporting high fructose corn syrup to Hondo.

Police are trying to find the owner of the car to find out why it was left there.
