DEL RIO, Texas -

A train has reportedly derailed near Laughlin Air Force Base, near Del Rio, Texas.

According to the Del Rio News-Herald, at least 20 Union Pacific railroad cars derailed early Tuesday morning about 11 miles east of Laughlin.

After an assessment with a hazmat response team, U.S. Highway 90 was ordered closed between the base and the area of the derailment -- about 4 1/2 miles East of the Sycamore Creek Bridge.

Responders said they could smell "a faint chemical odor."

At least one of the derailed cars was a tanker that had previously carried chlorine. It was reportedly empty.

No one was hurt.
