What started out as a minor accident ended with one of the vehicles being hit by a train.

Police say a vehicle rear-ended another car near Eisenhauer Rd. and Interstate 35 early Sunday morning. 

The rear-ended car landed on the train tracks. 

Police say it was then hit by an oncoming train.

They say the impact sent the car into a nearby ditch.

No one was in the car when the train hit.
