As many drivers get ready to hit the road this Thanksgiving, many are finding it's a great time to fill up on some cheap gas.
Some customers on the city's Westside said they were happy to see the gas prices down to $2.99 for a gallon of unleaded gas at Vista Express.
"It's good to have these prices at $2.99," said Ricardo Rodriguez.
According to SanAntonioGasPrices.com, Vista Express, right along with Buc-ee's are some of the cheapest places to get gas in the San Antonio area.
Jerry Arroyo, manager at Vista Express, said as soon as the price dipped down to $2.99 earlier this week, they've been busy.
"A lot of people come in and stop by and put gas because it's cheap," said Arroyo. "Other places, it's $3.15 or $3.09. You won't find it cheaper like that."
And although many customers said they will not be making a trip out of town this Thanksgiving, that doesn't mean they won't be all over town.
"On Thanksgiving, we usually go from family to family," said Sylvia Rodriguez. "We have a lot of family members and they all want us to go to their house and plus go to work. I have to work tomorrow, so, we'll be using a lot of gas."
Arroyo said he plans on keeping the price at $2.99 throughout the Thanksgiving holiday.
