Converse teenager Tygaryus Thompson, 18, denies knowing anything about the theft of an iPod from a 10-year-old girl, even though police said they caught him on camera.
An arrest affidavit stated that the victim was robbed as she walked with her family in the parking lot of Walmart on FM 78 last month.
The affidavit stated that someone pushed the child from behind and snatched the device from her hands.
The incident was captured by surveillance cameras outside the store, the affidavit stated.
Converse police said they found the stolen iPod about a week later after it had been resold to a Gamestop store.
Investigators said they used information from the sale to track down Thompson.
In the affidavit, detectives said they showed the Walmart surveillance photos to Thompson and he admitted that he is the person in them, as well as in a video they found on the stolen iPod.
However, they said Thompson still denies any involvement in stealing the iPod, the affidavit stated.
