Tyler man allegedly cut son with lawn mower blade
Tyler man doing lawn work charged with assault after mower blade used to slice son's arm
An East Texas man doing lawn work has been charged with using a mower blade to slice his son's arm during an argument.
Smith County jail records show 51-year-old Darron Campbell of Tyler was being held Thursday without bond on a charge of aggravated assault family violence.
Tyler police say Campbell was working with his son, 26-year-old Kyan Campbell, on Wednesday when the pair got into a physical fight.
The father allegedly struck his son with a lawn mower blade, cutting the victim's arm. The son was transported to a Tyler hospital for treatment. Hospital officials had no record Thursday of the son still being at the facility.
Tyler police are trying to determine what led to the argument.
Online jail records did not list an attorney for the father.
