(CNN) -- A hard-line armed group that operates in Gaza, called The Mujahedeen's Shura Council of Aknaf Bayt al-Maqdis, claimed responsibility for the rockets that were launched Thursday morning from Gaza into southern Israel. In a statement posted Thursday on an online forum known to carry messages from extremist groups, the post said: "Shelling Sderot by rocket bombardment in response to the visit by Obama, the West's dog." The two rockets caused no injuries or major damage.
