SAN ANTONIO -

It’s owners call it ‘one-of-a-kind’ – an obstacle course designed to test the physical limits of even the most in-shape athletes.

It’s called Alpha Warrior and was designed in San Antonio.

The course features dozens of obstacles, ranging from the simple to the extreme, nearly all of it built from steel.

“It’s really fantastic the way these guys put it all together,” said Brent Steffensen, an accomplished athlete who recently competed on American Ninja Warrior, whose course features obstacle similar to those in Alpha Warrior.

The general public, or at least those in shape enough to take on the course, can run through it on April 20 and 21 at Retama Park.

The course will be built by crew members from the ground up on site.

Alpha Warrior also works closely with the Wounded Warrior Project. Those who sign up to run the course can choose to pay more than the standard ticket price, with that extra money going towards the charity.
