Couples planning tie the knot on Valentine's Day in a free mass wedding on the steps of the Bexar County Courthouse must apply for a marriage license by Friday. The county requires a license application 72 hours before the ceremony.

The free mass weddings, officiated by Rev. Joe Sullivan, begin Tuesday at 12:01 a.m. with additional ceremonies at 10 a.m., 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. Sullivan performs vow renewals at 6 p.m. followed by a dinner reception. All ceremonies will be held on the courthouse's north steps rain or shine.

The Bexar County Clerk's Office is located 101 W. Nueva St.

The fee for a marriage license, cash only, is $66.00.
