AUSTIN, Texas (AP) — Patrol car video of a Central Texas prosecutor who later pleaded guilty to drunken driving shows her appearing to stumble during a field sobriety test.
The Travis County Sheriff's Office on Monday released video of the April 12 stop of District Attorney Rosemary Lehmberg. Several media organizations requested the law enforcement video, which shows Lehmberg appearing unsteady.
Lehmberg on Friday pleaded guilty in Austin to driving while intoxicated and was sentenced to 45 days in jail. She remained in custody Wednesday.
The video also shows her in a patrol car with her hands cuffed behind her back. The prosecutor is heard saying "Do you know who I am?" A deputy says yes.
Lehmberg later is heard saying "You have just ruined my career."
Critics have called for her resignation.
