SAN ANTONIO -

The grace period before the next big warrant roundup began Monday.

San Antonio police Chief William McManus announced that the grace period before the 2013 Great Texas Warrant Roundup will run through March 1.

The roundup itself begins March 2.

Starting then, San Antonio authorities will hit the streets to take part in the 7th-annual statewide warrant roundup, a statewide initiative to clear warrants for minor offenses like traffic and city ordinance violations.

Officials are encouraging people to come in during the grace period to pay off those fines or to make arrangements to do so.

San Antonio police are working to clear the backlog of warrants at Municipal Court.

If you have any outstanding warrants, you still have time to come clean.

You can clear your fines at Municipal Court, at 401 South Frio Street.

Payments may be made with cash, check, money order or credit card.

Payments can also be made at one of five Community Link Centers:
