What's happening this weekend
A look at some events happening around town
It won't cost you a million dollars to see "Million Dollar Quartet", the new hit musical coming to the Alamo City. The show tells the story of the legendary recording session that brought together Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis and Carl Perkins for the first and only time. It plays Friday through Sunday at the Majestic Theatre, with a matinee on Sunday. Click here for tickets.
Another smash hit musical comes to the Woodlawn Theatre. "The Producers" is about a quirky pair who concoct a scheme to put on a dud of a musical, but the plan goes hilariously wrong. That's every weekend until May 5. Click here for a full schedule and tickets.
Fill your house up with art for not a lot of dough at the Starving Artist Show. It happens at La Villita and the Riverwalk, Saturday and Sunday, 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. All proceeds benefit the Little Church of La Villita.
There is no better way to finish off the weekend than with Siclovia on Sunday. Broadway Street will be closed to traffic between Lion's Field and Alamo Plaza from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. People will have the whole street to jog, walk, ride bikes, and skate. There will also be fitness activities called reclovias and healthy food vendors along the route. Click here for a map and more information.
