Woman could face charges in officer accident

A woman could be facing serious charges after investigators said she rear-ended a police cruiser early Monday morning.

Officers say she may have been drinking before getting behind the wheel.

Police say the officer's cruiser was blocking traffic at Loop 410 and Interstate 10 because of a stalled car around 2:15 a.m.

Investigators said the woman tried to drive past the cop car, but instead of going right, she went left and hit that cruiser.

The woman did suffer some minor injuries but the officer was not seriously hurt.
