A woman died early Wednesday morning after she slammed her car into a utility pole in far northwest Bexar County.

The Bexar County medical examiner confirmed the victim was 42-years-old, but have not released her name.

The wreck happened around midnight at FM 1560 and Braun Road. Investigators said the accident caused a small power outage in that area, but power was fully restored by 7 a.m. 

Sheriff's deputies are investigating what caused the fatal accident.
