Woman shot in knee on West Side

Suspect sought in shooting on San Fernando

SAN ANTONIO -

A man who shot a woman in the knee and fled the scene is sought by San Antonio police.

Shots were fired just after 6:30 p.m. Wednesday in the 3500 block of San Fernando on the city's West Side.

The victim was taken to the hospital, but was expected to recover. Officers have not said what led to the gunfire or the relationship between the two.

Police searched a nearby home, but were unable to find the suspect.
