A 48-year-old man was crushed under a trailer and killed Tuesday while doing some welding work at International Paper.
The incident happened around 9 a.m. at 1109 AT&T Center Parkway.
San Antonio police said the trailer was loaded with 40,000 pounds of paper and was being held up by jacks while the victim, Martin Medellin, was welding underneath it. The jacks gave way and the trailer came crashing down on top of him.
Emergency responders were called out to the scene, but Medellin did not survive.
