A 14-year-old girl was assaulted by her father and her brother over comments she posted on Facebook, an arrest affidavit stated.

Kenneth Garcia, 50, and his 17-year-old son, Dylan, were arrested Thursday on a charge of injury to a child.

The affidavit stated that the girl reported the incident to a Bexar County sheriff's detective at her middle school on Dec. 6.

The girl told the detective that she and Dylan began arguing Dec. 5 about her Facebook comments, the affidavit stated.

The victim said the argument led to a physical fight, during which Dylan knelt on her back and punched her in the head, the affidavit stated.

The girl said the following day, her father hit her in the face for calling her brother a name during the previous dispute, the affidavit stated.

When the girl told her father that she planned to report him to police, the teen said her father began hitting her in the head, the affidavit stated.

Kenneth Garcia later went to his daughter's school and spoke with detectives and admitted that he had hit the girl.

The affidavit stated that Kenneth Garcia told a detective to arrest him for "disciplining" his child.
