SAN ANTONIO -

San Antonio police arrested a man accused of driving while intoxicated and crashing into a tree.

The crash occurred just after 10 p.m. Wednesday on North Main Avenue near East Craig Place just north of downtown.

Police said the driver was headed down North Main when he lost control of the car, struck a curb and then a tree.

The car flipped over, but the driver did not suffer any serious injuries, police said.

Officers responded and said the man failed a DWI test, and was arrested.

Police said the man told them he was from the Dallas area and the car was a rental.

No other vehicles were reportedly involved in the crash.
