SAN ANTONIO -

Police were searching for a man who tried to rob a CVS and Walgreens around 2 pm Wednesday.

He first attempted a robbery at the Walgreens at 1581 Austin Highway, followed by a CVS on Nacogdoches.

At both locations, investigators say the man showed a short-barreled rifle and demanded medications.

He did not steal anything from the Walgreens and it is unclear if he made off with any items from the CVS.

The man is described as having a mustache and dark eyebrows and was wearing a navy blue sweatshirt, a dark-colored t-shirt with writing on it and faded blue jeans.

He was carrying the gun in the right side of his pants.

Police were patrolling the area for a gold Honda or Toyota that might have been involved.
