SAN ANTONIO – Firefighters heading back to their station spotted a house fire and went to work on the city's Northwest Side, fire officials said Wednesday.
The fire was reported around 10 p.m. Tuesday in the 200 block of Continental Avenue, found near St. Mary's University and Northwest 36th Street.
Officials said the firefighters saw smoke coming from the roof of the home. It took roughly 20 minutes to put out the flames once they arrived, firefighters said.
No one was home at the time of the fire.
Damage estimates are not presently known.
Arson is investigating the cause.
