AUSTIN – UPDATE 3:23 a.m.- Austin police reported separate shootings within the same area. They said both scenes are now secure. A woman in her 30s was pronounced dead and three others were taken to the hospital, Austin-Travis County Emergency Medical Services reported on its Twitter.
Austin police reported an active shooter situation in the downtown area early Sunday morning. They said multiple victims are involved.
Police are asking the public to stay away from the Sixth Street area.
The department isn’t releasing anymore details at this time. Count on KSAT 12 News to follow up on this developing story.
