SAN ANTONIO -

A female inmate who died at the Bexar County Jail has been identified by the medical examiner. The inmate was identified as 50-year-old Linda Frazier.

Frazier was found unconscious and unresponsive Monday afternoon.

"A nurse went to go see her at 3 (p.m.)," said BCSO spokesman Paul Berry. "She was alert and responsive. She did refuse her prescription. We checked back 15 minutes later and there she was found unconscious and unresponsive."

Berry says paramedics were called in and worked to revive Frazier, but she was pronounced dead at a little after 4 p.m.

The medical examiner says an autopsy will determine a cause of death, but early indications are Frazier died of natural causes.
