BOERNE, Texas -

A spokeswoman with the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office said it appears a couple found dead in their home near Boerne died in a murder-suicide, and that the woman may have been the shooter.

Deputies, answering a call from relatives, found the bodies shortly before 5 p.m. Thursday in the home in the 8600 block of Buckskin Drive.

Rosanne Hughes, a spokeswoman for the sheriff’s office, said investigators also found a revolver in the home.

"There were three shots to the head of Mr. Bagley, and one shot to the head of Miss Nemcik," said Hughes. “It appears that the female was the shooter.”

Hughes, however, cautioned that the case is still under investigation.

As of 11 a.m., the Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office had not yet completed autopsies of the bodies.

Detectives at the scene Thursday said they were not sure of the relationship between the two.

A Facebook page has Nemcik listed as Cynthia Nemcik Bagley.

The couple’s home sits on property that appears to be shared with other members of Bagley’s family.

At the home Friday morning, a relative walked up to the fence line and said that his family does not want to talk to the media.

The man referred all questions to the sheriff’s office and medical examiner.

Hughes said it’s still not clear what led to the shootings.

She said, to her knowledge, there have not been any calls for disturbances at the home in the past.
