SAN ANTONIO -

A Bexar County Sheriff's Office sergeant has been fired.

Timothy Williams, a patrol sergeant, was terminated following an administrative hearing last week on grounds of insubordination and conduct unbecoming a deputy sheriff.

Williams appealed the decision to Chief Deputy Manual Longoria, but Longoria denied the appeal.

In January, a woman told BCSO officials that Williams made improper contact with her after he stopped her for a traffic violation. A few days later, Williams contacted the woman despite being told not to during the investigation. Williams was placed on administrative leave.

Williams' termination was effective Wednesday. He can appeal the decision to the Bexar County Sheriff's Civil Service Commission within the next 10 days.
