SAN ANTONIO -

San Antonio police with the help of the Drug Enforcement Administration busted a big rig driver with a trailer full of marijuana and poblano peppers early Thursday morning.

The arrest happened at Broadway and 4th streets in downtown San Antonio around 1 a.m.

Officers pulled over the driver without incident and searched the back of the big rig.

Police said officers found a mix of poblano peppers and marijuana, but could not immediately determine how much marijuana was inside the trailer.

Police towed the big rig to the SAPD produce lot on Zarzamora Street to determine the exact contents. The driver was taken into custody, but charges were unknown as of 6 a.m.

SAPD investigators said truck was headed north from Harlingen, Texas but it was unknown where the driver's final destination was.
