A big rig hauling concrete barriers to a construction site crashed Saturday on the I-37 to I-10 ramp just south of downtown.

The rig rolled on the ramp to 10 east around 12:45 p.m. Saturday.

Police say the truck hauled a load of concrete barriers bound for an I-10 construction site.

They say the driver lost control of his rig as he made the turn from 37 north to 10 east, and downed two light poles.

The wreck tossed the cargo into a grass median and away from traffic, but police and TxDOT closed the road to clear up the rolled over rig.

They had the ramp closed for a couple of hours while they cleared the truck.
