Big turnout expected for tech job fair Tuesday

Tech industry a growing job market in San Antonio

SAN ANTONIO – The success seen by tech companies that open up shop in San Antonio is the main reason Codeup is hosting another tech job fair.

The move from Austin to San Antonio has been a successful one for Yousef Kassim and his company easyexpunctions.com.

The company helps individuals clear their criminal records without an attorney, and since the move to San Antonio the website has seen a surge in customers.

The success seen by easyexpunctions.com is all part of the growing landscape of the tech industry in San Antonio.

"I would anticipate that San Antonio's going to play a major roll in providing the domestic U.S. market with software developers, data analysts and all variety of tech skills," Codeup CEO Kay Jones said.

The job fair will include more than 20 employers and 300+ job seekers.

"The most important thing they can do is come prepared to be yourself and to talk about about what gets you excited about technology," Jones said.

The job fair will take place from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Tuesday at Geekdom, 110 E. Houston Street.

People are encouraged to arrived early because a big turnout is expected.
