The bodies of two men found in a North Side home appear to be the result of a murder-suicide, police said.

Police were initially dispatched to a home in the 13400 block of Vista Del Mar for a welfare check Saturday afternoon.

“The garage door was open from what I understand and dogs were running around outside that normally aren't running around,” said SAPD spokesman Roger Zuniga.

Police entered the home and found two men, one in his early 20s the other in his late 30s, early 40s. Neither have been identified.

“There was no break-in. No signs of forced entry. There did appear to be some type of signs of a struggle inside on the preliminary investigation but no obvious signs of somebody breaking in and committing this act,” Zuniga said.

The medical examiner has not released the names of the men and police have not said what kind of weapon was used.
