SAN ANTONIO -

The Texas Lottery Commission said Sunday one Powerball ticket sold in Boerne matched five numbers in the Saturday drawing, earning that ticket holder a $1 million prize.

"We're excited about the new Texas millionaire created as a result of last night's record-setting Powerball drawing," said Gary Grief, executive director of the Texas Lottery in a press release.

The ticket was sold at the J.W. Hope #2 (Quick Pantry), 942 N. Main St.

A ticket sold in Florida won the big prize, worth $590.5 million dollars. It was the largest Powerball jackpot ever. The TLC said it was the second-largest jackpot in history for any lottery game.

TLC said there were 471,863 winning Powerball tickets sold in Texas for Saturday's drawing.
