SAN ANTONIO -

Students at Texas State University were evacuated early Tuesday morning after a suspicious package was found on campus.

An emergency notification was sent by Texas State officials just before 2 a.m. Tuesday.

The notification alerted students and officials of a threat in the area of College Inn Residence Hall and Comanche Street.

Police responded and closed the surrounding area. The suspicious package was detonated by San Marcos authorities and a person of interest was reportedly found.

No injuries were reported and the all clear was given just before 7 a.m. The university's website stated all activities should resume as normal.
