SAN ANTONIO – One of two men accused of capital murder in a shooting at Rolling Oaks Mall had his bond reduced from $1.5 million to $1 million during a bond reduction hearing Thursday.
Jason Prieto and Jose Rojas are accused of trying to rob a jewelry store in the mall on Jan. 23.

Jonathon Murphy, an innocent bystander, was shot and killed when he tried to intervene, authorities said.
Another bystander shot and wounded Rojas, and Prieto fled.
“When the shooting started, he ran through the mall in the other direction, shooting as he ran,” police Chief William McManus told reporters that day.
He was later arrested and, like Rojas, was charged with capital murder and aggravated robbery.

Magistrate Judge Andrew Carruthers reduced Prieto’s bond to $1 million.
Both men remain jailed in lieu of bond.
No trial date has been set.
