Border agents find human remains on South Texas ranch

Remains of young immigrant found in Brooks County on Thursday

FALFURRIAS, Texas – The remains of a young immigrant were found in a South Texas ranch after U.S. Border Patrol agents responded to a report of a deceased body.

According to a Border Patrol press release, the remains were located in Brooks County on Thursday.

Brooks County Sheriff’s Office and Justice of the Peace Noralia Morales pronounced the subject deceased.  

An identification card was located near the remains before the body was transported to a funeral home in Falfurrias.

The Border Patrol urges immigrants not to risk their lives by illegally entering the U.S. or by attempting to go around a checkpoint.
