A pair of burglars are sought after a smash-and-grab at a Dollar General store on the near Northeast Side.

San Antonio police said the burglars shot out the front glass door of the store in the 2200 block of Austin Highway around 10:30 p.m. Tuesday.

SAPD investigators said one of the burglars went straight for the cigars and cigarettes while the other headed for the back office and stole cash.

The two burglars fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of money and tobacco products, San Antonio police said.

SAPD officers were given a description of the burglars, but no arrests had been announced as of 6 a.m. Wednesday.
