NEW BRAUNFELS, Texas -

Burglars have struck again in New Braunfels as two more area churches were broken into over the weekend.

Chad Massie, Minister at the New Braunfels Church of Christ, says his church was hit sometime between Friday night and Saturday morning.

Massie said thieves broke into the the church lobby. "They threw a brick through the window and busted it all in, and then came inside and took two TVs and they ripped them off the wall," Massie said.

Police said on the same night, thieves broke into the Unity Church and stole a sound board, flat screen TVs, CD players and a cash register.

Detectives said both break-ins are very similar to burglaries that have happened in recent weeks at other churches and businesses.

"We don't hold any ill will. We're just glad it wasn't worse than it was, but it's just kind of surprising they would target churches," Massie said.

Comal County Crimestoppers is offering a reward of up to $2,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anonymous callers can reach Crimestoppers at 830-620-TIPS.
