SAN ANTONIO – A woman was killed and a man was seriously injured Friday morning after a car hit them on the city's West Side.
The accident was reported around 7:10 a.m. in the 5700 block of Old Highway 90 near Callaghan Road.
Police said the driver of the car told them two people and a bicycle suddenly appeared in front of him in the dark. He ran over both of the people, killing the woman and seriously injuring the man.
Police said it is not known if someone was riding the bike or if they were walking with it.
The man was taken to University Hospital for treatment.
Police said both the man and the woman were in their mid to late 20s.
