SAN ANTONIO -

A man had to be rescued out of his car Tuesday night after he lost control and landed on top of the guard rails on Interstate 10.

According to San Antonio police, the driver lost control of his car when he took the curve near Frio Street.

Slick roads caused the car to skid and land on top of the guard rails, police stated.

The driver decided to stay in the car for fear that the car would flip over into oncoming traffic.

Rescue crews arrived at the scene and were able to stabilize the car and get the driver out safely.
