Child sex-trafficking charge against ex-Spur dismissed

Alvin Robertson was arrested in March 2009

SAN ANTONIO – A child sex-trafficking charge against former Spur Alvin Robertson has been dismissed, a source told KSAT 12 News.

Robertson was arrested in March 2009 in connection with a sex-trafficking ring involving a 14-year-old girl who was prostituted in San Antonio and Corpus Christi, authorities said. Six other people were also alleged to have been involved in the ring.

A Bexar County grand jury indicted Robertson on the charge in August 2011.

But the charge was dismissed due to insufficient evidence, the source told KSAT 12 News.

In March 2015, Robertson was arrested for violating 10 conditions of his pretrial bond.

Robertson had been in custody while he was awaiting trial on the trafficking charge.
