The city of San Antonio has a new online look.

Just in time for National Travel and Tourism Week, the San Antonio Convention and Visitors Bureau has unveiled their new website.

For those who've never been to the Alamo City, is often a first stop for information..

"It's the first impression it can give them and it has to be the best reflection of the city," said Ly Tran, with Proof Advertising, the firm that helped develop the new site.

Since the site is an important tool in attracting visitors and new hires, the CVB decided it was time for an upgrade.

"We've been working on this actually for more than a year to come up with something that would be new innovative and inspirational to potential visitors," said Casandra Matej, executive director of the San Antonio Convention and Visitors Bureau

The new site is restructured and up to date with technology.

It's now mobile device-friendly and links to various social media sites.

When users visit the website and link to Facebook, for example, the site features changes to become tailored to the user's interests based on their "likes."

Users can plan itineraries based on interests and get feedback by linking directly to Trip Advisor..

Even locals can learn a thing or two from the website.

"They can explore their own city and really find out all the unique things there are to see and do in their own backyard," said Matej.
