The clean-up is now underway at a Blockbuster on the city's Northwest Side, after a man believed to be under the influence slammed into several vehicles on Thursday, pushing one inside the video store.
Witnesses captured the rampage on cell phone video.
"Nothing went through my mind besides, 'I got to get away from this guy,'" said witness Theodore Davis. "The entire time I was trying to get his license plate so I could call 911."
The video shows the driver of a white pick-up doing doughnuts in the parking lot. Everyone inside the store feared for their life.
"I see the truck coming, and it almost hit me and I just ran into the back of the store. Everyone in the back was freaking out," said Blockbuster customer Denisse Vazquez.
The terror eventually ended and the driver was the only one who suffered injuries.
He was taken to University Hospital, where he was treated for a broken collarbone.
Police expected to charge the suspect with DWI Thursday night, but as of Friday afternoon, he had not been formally charged.
The Blockbuster covered up the damage with plywood and said they expect to re-open as soon as possible.
