Electronics are expected to be hot for the holidays, so the gadget gurus at Consumer Reports tested several and came out with a few recommendations.

For people who like to shoot videos, testers suggest an action camera.  They recommend the GoPro Hero Plus, Silver Edition. It sells for $300.

For the movie lover, a sound bar can help deliver great sound in his living room.

"Flat screens don't always have the best sound," said Consumer Reports' Carol Mangis. "They're too flat to fit the speakers inside. So, this is an external speaker that will give you much better sound for your television."

Consumer Reports recommended the Sonos Playbar for $700.

Wireless speakers can be a great way to listen to music. Testers recommended the TDK Life on Record speakers. They retail for $150.  However, they are on sale for $120 at some stores including Best Buy and Amazon.

A stocking stuffer for people who like to stream media onto their TV is the Google Chromecast for $35.  It is a flash drive-sized device that you plug into the TV HDMI port.

For the little ones, the Twilight Turtle Tunes T3 from Cloud B is both a toy and a nightlight.  It projects constellations onto the ceiling and plays customized sounds.  It sells for about $52.
