SAN ANTONIO -

A couple who had plans to buy a computer told San Antonio police they were tied up and robbed instead by the people who were supposed to be doing business with them.

The victims told police they met with the people who they thought were selling a computer at a home in the 7000 block of Baywater Drive late Thursday night.

They said after they went inside to negotiate a price, people in the home tied them up, put paper bags over their heads and pointed guns at them.

The couple told police the robbers got away with their wallets, cell phones and a red truck.

They managed to free themselves about 30 minutes later and make their way to a restaurant where they called for help shortly after midnight.

When officers went back to the home, they were unable to locate the robbers.

Police said it's unclear whether they actually lived in the home where the couple met with them.
