SAN ANTONIO -

A crash caused a fire at a Culebra Meat Market early Monday morning.

San Antonio police say the driver of a Chevy SUV plowed through the front doors of the business in the 2000 block of Austin Highway around 1:30 a.m.

Police said the SUV went at least ten feet into the business and then burst into flames. The driver was able to get out and flee the scene.

San Antonio firefighters responded to put the fire out, but flames damaged the meat market.

San Antonio police are searching for the driver and said they will check the license plates and other information left inside the SUV to track down the suspect.

Police said it was unclear what caused the crash and damage estimates have not been released. No injuries were reported.
