FBI searches for 'Red-Bearded' bank bandit

Up to $1,000 cash reward for information that leads to arrest

SAN ANTONIO – The FBI and Beaumont police are searching for a red-bearded bank robber who agents say may be from or is headed to San Antonio.

According to the FBI, a man with a red beard and glasses walked into the Community Bank on Texas 105 in Beaumont on Monday morning. Tellers told investigators he handed them a demand note, took an undisclosed amount of cash and left the bank.

Investigators said the man drove away in a white, four-door, 2012 or 2013 model year Cadillac CTS with tinted windows.

Witnesses described the man as 5 feet 5 inches to 5 feet 8 inches tall and said he was carrying a red women's handbag.

Southeast Texas Crime Stoppers will pay a reward of up to $1,000 for information that leads to the man's arrest.
