Man, 18, arrested in connection with restaurant robbery

Tyandre Jackson accused in robbery of Freddy's Frozen Custard & Steakburgers

SAN ANTONIO – A man has been arrested in connection with a restaurant robbery.

Tyandre Jackson is accused of robbing a Freddy's Frozen Custard & Steakburgers on Jan. 26, an arrest affidavit said.

Police said Jackson approached an employee who was taking out the trash and forced him back into the restaurant at gunpoint, the affidavit said.

The employee led Jackson to an office where there were other employees, the affidavit said. Jackson demanded money from a safe and took money from a bank deposit bag, the affidavit said.

He ran through a rear door and got into a car and sped away, the affidavit said.

Someone on Monday called in a tip to Crime Stoppers, which led to Jackson's arrest, the affidavit said.

Jackson is charged with aggravated robbery.
