Crime Stoppers offers reward for information about Valero robbery

SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio police are looking for a man who threatened two Valero employees and escaped with cash from one of the registers.

A man entered a Valero store around 12:15 a.m. on June 18 at 3503 Wurzbach Road and placed a note in a plastic bag on the counter in front of an employee who was closing down a register.

The note read, "I'm sorry, I don't want to hurt anybody. Just put the money in the bag," police said.

The man lifted his shirt to show a gun in his waistband, police said. A second employee approached the register to see what was going on.

Police said the man told the second employee, "(it was) not worth it," before he grabbed the bag with the cash and ran away.

Crime Stoppers is offering up to $5,000 for information leading to an arrest.

Anyone with information about the man pictured above is asked to call 210-224-STOP (7867).
