Muniz confessed to the taggings, which included several businesses and city property, police said.

Detectives noticed similarities in the taggings and determined that they were done by the same person, police said. Detectives also tracked a can of spray paint found at one of the scenes to an online purchase they said Muniz made. The suspect was also seen on surveillance video at one of the businesses.

If found guilty in a trial, Muniz could face a maximum of two years in prison and up to a $10,000 fine.

The San Antonio Police Department assisted in the arrest.
